Arkansas Lightning
I’m sure Carry Nation wouldn’t believe her eyes to see that Lightning is legal in Arkansas. You see, Carry used to live in Eureka Springs, Arkansas at a farm with a building she dubbed “Hatchet Hall”. She was known to use hatchets to attack Saloons back in the 1900′s. Oh well, looks like Lightning is here to stay.
ARKANSAS LIGHTNING is pot distilled from only the finest Arkansas Corn and Wheat by hand. Bottled at 125 proof, the same as if it went into a barrel to make bourbon whiskey.

Bold aromas of wet grain sack, crushed whole nut, and crusty artisanal raisin bread with a vibrant, silky dry-yet-fruity medium-full body and a hot and spicy dusty gravel road finish. Opens up to some attractive macadamia nut brittle and spice cake notes with a touch of water. Very interesting and distinctive; will be great in cocktails. (tasted on Feb-24-2011)

89.5 – Superbly made. Clean, oily and very impressive. Intrigued by the vaguest hint of sweet fresh shrimp on the nose. Will make a fine whiskey if placed in high quality oak. 62.5%. New, clear spirit pot distilled from Arkansas corn and wheat mash.
